New Group Promotes “Ethical Leadership”

A new chapter-based Wisconsin group, LeaderEthics, is sparking enthusiasm with its call for ethical leadership in politics.  According to the group, ethical leaders are:

  • honest and truthful
  • transparent with public information
  • a unifier rather than a divider
  • committed to represent their entire constituency

The non-partisan group will work for ethical leadership in varying ways: contacts with media and government officials, report cards on sitting representatives, speaker events, newsletters, and grass-roots campaign training.  Interested readers will find a wealth of information on ethics and governance on the group’s website.

While neither a sponsor nor a partner of LeaderEthics, EnCiv’s mission clearly resonates with the group’s definition of ethical leadership and with its goal of encouraging citizens to promote it.
